Professor Dion Accoto brings a mountain of courtroom experience, general legal experience, litigation experience, strategy, and smarts; that experience is invaluable to any legal matter.
He was admitted to the practice of law in the late 1990’s.
He started working in the law some 30 years ago. He has worked as a Solicitor & Barrister & Investigator.
He passed the New South Wales Bar exams in 2000, in practice as a Barrister for many years thereafter. After ceasing to practice as a barrister, he went on to work as a solicitor whose practising certificate issues from the law society and not the bar association.
He has represented and advised government, corporations, the banking & finance sector, and an array of individuals.
He continues his work as a Professor, supervising doctoral students for the university. He also assists those in dire straits, running the Macarthur Pro Bono Scheme.
In his spare time, Dion enjoys playing, composing and teaching music.

Professor Dion Accoto has been both a Barrister and a Solicitor in his career. He has also been a licensed Investigator in excess of 25 years.
In the Criminal Law, he has worked predominantly in defence but has also prosecuted a number of cases.
Professor Accoto has worked on matters from Traffic Law all the way through to the most serious of cases such as Murder, Drugs and Rape.
Likewise in Defamation, with the proliferation of online platforms available to members of the public to defame someone, having a background in Criminal Law, and Investigations is of significant value in bringing to justice those who do wrong.
In the Property Development sector, the point of difference is an in-depth knowledge of the property sector, together with the ability to provide strategic advice that can give rise to increased yield.
In the Corporate & Commercial world, Professor Accoto has a doctorate in Business Leadership which allows him to provide high level advice across a broad spectrum.
